Gillian Wainwright is a painter currently living and working in New Jersey. Wainwright earned her BFA at the California College of Arts and Crafts where the Bay Area Figurative School had a strong impact on her. She later studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in particular with renowned painter Dan Gustin, and graduated with an MFA in painting. She also spent a year living and studying art in Florence and traveling all over Italy. She has taught painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as at Robert Morris College and Kingsborough College. Wainwright has had several solo shows with M Galleries in New Jersey and has participated in multiple group shows in the New York City area and across the States. Her work is included in several private collections.
